Emma Sanderson
The Hands Behind Every Piece

Meet Emma

Hello, my name is Emma Sanderson, based close to the beautiful city of Carlisle in Cumbria. I'm married with a wonderful family — including 4 dogs, 4 birds and countless hens and ducks. I've been a dog groomer for 16 years and am also a Reiki practitioner.

My journey into memorial jewellery began with a deep appreciation for the stories we carry of a dear loved one — or a faithful pet no longer with us. I originally started making keepsakes for my dog grooming clients, which grew into jewellery for their family members. That's how Forget Me Not by Emma was born.

Grieving is a painful time. My wish for you is to create something special with the inclusion of your loved one or furry friend — to hold them close in times of sadness and reflection. Every piece is made with the utmost respect. If you'd like a special song played or a prayer said while I work, I'm more than happy to oblige.

With love, Emma x

Real words from people who've trusted Emma with their most precious memories

★★★★★
"Emma was so lovely and friendly, even placing the ashes inside a cabinet in her studio so that dad wasn't alone or cold. Emma asked me what songs dad liked so she could play them whilst making the pendant. I have never met someone who really cares about our loved ones as much."

"Emma was very empathetic and understood the dedication and care required. I have had my dog's hair and nails in a box for 6 years from when she passed on. I have never put my trust in anyone with such sacred items and I wasn't disappointed. Now I have my Phoebe with me again everywhere I go."

"What a lovely experience I had dealing with Emma whilst she made dad's ashes into a charm to fit my mam's Pandora. She bent over backwards, even collected his ashes as she is local. I can't thank you enough."

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our memorial jewellery and the ordering process.

We can preserve a wide variety of precious inclusions, including cremation ashes, hair, pet fur, breastmilk, umbilical cord, fabric from a favourite piece of clothing, and dried flowers.

For ashes, we typically need about half a teaspoon. For hair or fur, a small lock about 2–3cm long is sufficient. For breastmilk, we require approximately 5–10ml. Any unused material will be carefully returned to you with your finished piece.

Yes, absolutely. Many customers choose to combine ashes from two loved ones, or perhaps hair and ashes together. Please let us know your requirements when placing your order and Emma will do her very best to accommodate your wishes.

Most of our settings are made from high-quality 925 Sterling Silver. We also offer a Gold collection and a Stainless Steel collection for those who prefer a more durable or budget-friendly option. The stones are created using professional-grade, UV-stabilising resin to ensure your inclusion is preserved beautifully for years to come.

Our typical turnaround time is 7–10 working days from the date we receive your inclusions. During busier periods this may extend slightly, but we will always keep you updated on the progress of your order every step of the way.

Once you place an order, Emma will send you a collection kit with clear instructions and secure packaging. We recommend returning your inclusions to us using a tracked postal service to ensure their safe arrival. Please do not send your inclusions before receiving your kit.

Yes, always. Any unused portion of your inclusion will be carefully and respectfully returned to you alongside your finished piece. We understand how precious these materials are and treat them with the utmost care at all times.

Yes, we create memorial jewellery for customers right across the United Kingdom. Every finished piece is sent with fully tracked delivery and packed in beautiful, secure packaging so it arrives with you safely and in perfect condition.

Resin is durable but benefits from a little care. We recommend avoiding exposure to harsh chemicals such as perfumes and cleaning products, prolonged direct sunlight, and extreme heat. It is best to remove your jewellery before swimming, showering, or sleeping to keep it looking its best for as long as possible.

Absolutely. Many of our customers order pieces as gifts for a friend or family member who has experienced a loss. Simply place the order as normal and we will send the collection kit to you. You can then pass it on to the recipient to send their inclusions directly to Emma when they are ready.
